August 1, 2008 | LISLE, IL The Dupage Dragons are please to announce that miss Illinois Katie Lorenz and miss Illinois Outstanding Teen Emily Travis will be making an appearance on Monday, August 4th when the Dragons host the Quincy Gems at 7:05pm. Miss Lorenz and Miss Travis will be available to take photos, sign autographs and meet and greet with our fans during the game.
Miss Lorenz was crowned MISS Illinois last month in St. Charles. She is currently touring the state of Illinois speaking at schools, public events and charitable functions regarding CHARACTER COUNTS! and Right Decisions, Right Now. On top of that she is also promoting her own personal community service platform on the importance of volunteerism. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in English. Currently, she is a graduate student at Loyola University in Chicago and will take a year off from her studies to tour the state as Miss Illinois 2008.
Miss Travis was crowned Miss Outstanding Illinois teen last month in St. Charles. Emily is touring the community promoting “Families going green makes the World go around” campaign. She is a senior at Massac County High School in Metropolis.
