July 27, 2008 | LISLE, IL The CICL selected Andrew Beatty as the Pitcher of the Week. Andrew wins the award this week on the strength of 8 shutout innings in a 1-0 victory over the Gems at Quincy on July 23. Beatty struck out 7 and allowed only 3 singles in the "gem" of an outing. Andrew is from Aurora, Illinois, and will be a senior this fall at SIU-Edwardsville.
The Dupage Dragons return home tonight when they take on the Springfield Sliders at 7:05PM at the Benedictine Sports Complex. Any child that shows up in a little league, Boy/girl scout and soccer uniform will get in FREE tonight.
